Merry Christmas, everyone! Turns out that it's been another 3? 4? months since I've last written a journal entry. And, well, it's 'bout time I swipe the dust off this old thing, wouldn't you agree? So, without further ado, I suppose I'll just add a few more pages to the book o' Ploppers.

Okay, so Christmas is awesome. Abso-effing-lutely. The atmosphere is so light... And, let's be splendid about this, everyone's floating around in a light cloud of georgeousness. Or not. The weather is less than pleasant. But I'm letting that get me down. Nope. Nada. Nyet. Nein. I feel fantastic. I got everything I'd asked for: Scrumptious Christmas dinner, the best of company (shout out to my faaaaamily) and, naturally, colourfully wrapped presents. Wee~ I could roll around the floor purring right now.

So. Yesterday we went to church (which is always cramped on the 24th. Wow.) and got into the Christmas spirit. Then we returned home and got settled while Mom cooked up the best 'Kohlrouladen' (cabbage dumplings?) in the world... Hmm. Dinner, accompanied by light and familiar laughter, was excellent. Aaaand then we unwrapped presents. I don't know how you guys do it: We unpack them on Christmas Eve. You know, being German and all. Among the gifts was the new Star Trek movie, so Dad and I felt obligated to watch it then and there. And we did. And it was awesome. *happy sigh*

Skipping ahead to the 25th now. I don't know, I've always felt that everything is very light and airy on this day. It's... Difficult to describe. Almost like everything is in a thin, comforting fog. Hn. I'unno. Probably just me. Anyway, Mom outdid herself yet again and cooked up a duck, a bowl full of Kloesse and Rotkohl. I'm not translating now. The rest of the day passed in a flurry, but in the same relaxed manner which I have (failed) to describe before. When I checked my eMails, I got another Christmas present:

ShaneJensenToons bought me a Premium Membership.   I'm so thrilled! It's such a sweet thing to do. Shane, thanks so much!

AND THEN DUN DUN DUN. Well, Sherlock Holmes came out today. I don't know if I've ever mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE Sherlock Holmes. Anyway, I do. A lot. I've been waiting for this movie to come out ever since I saw a preview back in Germany around 6 months ago. So my friend and I planned this for ages. We got some of the last tickets for the show, and HOLY COW, the theatre was absolutely full. People were asking us how we still managed to get tickets. Hm. We have Mom to thank for that. She's the best~ Anywho:

:star: THE MOVIE WAS SO AWE-STRIKINGLY FANTABULOUS. Way too short, though. Two hours weren't nearly enough. But seriously, I recommend the movie to anyone and everyone. Fantastic storyline, amazing fight-scenes, witty... Hm hm hm. The women in the movie were, however, mostly useless.
(I also kept my trophy: The Coca Cola cup we received has both Holmes and Watson printed on it. *my precious*) :star:

That's that for my Christmas story.

I'm curious. Does anyone here watch a series that they're really fond of? Yes no maybe kind of? Just curious. Curiosity's never killed anyo-- Oh wait, nevermind.

Alright, I've rambled quite a bit now, haven't I. I hope you guys have as a great a Christmas as I am having, and a Happy New Year!! All the best!

Hello.

It's me.

It's been a while, hasn't it?

Weeeeeeeell, um, here I am. I was in hiding. And now I'm back. How have you guys been? Anything dramatic happen? And problems? Complaints? Praises? Anything? Huh.

I'm tired. Tired, tired, exhausted, I have a headache, and I'm tired. I just recovered from a flu which had me missin' an entire week of school, and I can't afford that right now. They're kicking our ass down there, and they're jerks. Real jerks.

'WHY ARE YOU TELLING EVERYONE YOU HAVE SWINE FLU', they said. 'YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF THEIR PANIC', they said. I was just about to punch 'em. Instead I got really pissy, and that felt good too.

Just to make it perfectly clear: We're not sure if the flu I had was actually the swine flu. I got a test done, and I had the "A" flu-strain-thingy. Anyway, that's the kind of flu you have when you do have the swine flu. It could be a normal flu. We could have done a second test to be sure, but by the time we would have gotten the results back, I would have been fine and dandy and awesome galore, so we didn't do a second test to waste even more of the lab's precious time. The doctor says it's very likely that I had the swine flu, all the symptons checked out and it's been happening frequently in our area. And THAT is what I told my classmates, and THAT is what we explained to the school's administration. And today they were infuriated, because some of the teachers have heard that I do have the swine flu, and of course it's all MY fault that people are talking, so they took me out of class and asked me what the hell my problem is.

Now I'm cranky, and my parents are cranky because the school is run by morons, and nothing ever goes right and the woman who picked on me thinks she's God or something. Pff.

... And if the test I'd done with the doctor would have come back with some sort of bacterial infection, which is super contagious and super nasty and really harmful, no-one would have cared. It's all because America made such a big deal of the swine flu. And it's pissin' me off.

I needed to get that off my chest. I'd write a diary, but I like complaining to people who'll hear me. Hn.

SO THAT'S THAT.

I'm drawing again. I mean, I was always drawing, but now I think I'll actually submit something again. I've improved. I pulled out my old sketches, and I really do see a lot of changes. Now I want to actively study anatomy. Yep yep yep. And I want to participate in K-Bo's "Pin-up Challenge." Setting goals. It's good.

Aaaaand now it's barely 7:30, and I'm already read to turn in. Just. So. Tired. I love alllll of you guys, and I'm glad I'm back. I really missed dA.

 - Ploppers

(Also, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box was so much better than I had previously thought. I can't wait for the next game.)

Hi guys. I'm sure you've noticed that I've been pretty inactive lately, and I'm sorry about that, but I've been kinda busy. And lazy. But mostly busy. Anyway, I suppose it's time to tell you a little bit about what's been going on.

So. Last Tuesday was the premier of our play, "Zeit der Schuldlosen". It was nerve wrecking, but we left the stage while our audience bid us farewell with a loud round of applause. Everything went well, despite the fact that I nearly threw up before we went on stage and the staff in our tech department fired my gunshot at the wrong time... Ah well. All is good. Our second performance was rubbish, and we had about 20 people in the audience. And when I finally shot myself on stage, I skidded across a metal foot of a wall which we had on the scene. Now I have this ugly red stripe across my back, and it feels like someone tried to butcher my back in my sleep. Hm.

Aaaand on Thursday we packed our bags and left for New York to perform at the DSNY (Deutsche Schule New York). The stage was 186213987 times smaller, and we couldn't manage to bring all of our props to NY, so that was pretty problematic, but other than that... Our performance wasn't bad. I only screwed up on my third line, and it wasn't a big screw up. We did a pretty damn awesome job. Then we had lunch and drove into NYC, where my shopaholic friends insisted we we walk to the nearest Abercrombie, which wasn't really 'near' at all. *grumble* I was less than fascinated. After my friends finally decided that all the hustle and bustle of the shop was enough for them (it was like a rave in there) I navigated us down to Broadway and we took our sweet time walking ten blocks down this beautifully busy avenue. Finally we arrived at 45th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue, where we waited for the rest of our crew to arrive aaaaaaaand then we watched 'Hair'. It was too sexual and, well, impulsive for my tastes, but the music was awesome. And now I'm back. Wee.

I've had the inexplicable urge to watch Star Trek this week. So I did. For hours on end. Because this week was boring boring boring and our grades were already decided, our teachers didn't give us any homework. It feels strange not having anything to do. It's nice. Anyway, Netflix has the first season of Star Trek for free, so I was plastered to my PC during my free time. My project group at school took a trip to the 'Air and Space Museum' at the Dulles Airport, and the gift-shop sold Star Trek merchandise. I was so close to buying a little Spock boggle-head. He was adorable. I also discovered that my IT teacher is a Trekkie. We had an awesome conversation and messed around with the goods at the shop. Good times. He's a great guy.

I got my report card back, and all I have to say is, 'HELL YEAH.' Cheers to being a nerd.

Okay, now comes the important part of this entry:

I'm going to Germany for 4 weeks. … Yeah. I'm going to be at the beach for the first part of it, but then it's back to Hondelage and Trogen to meet up with my family. I'm looking forward to it, but this time I'm flying alone with my brother, so I'm a bit worried. I've done it before, but I still don't feel quite as comfortable as I should be. Oh well, I'm sure everything will be fine. It always is. (WhatamIsayingI'msweatingbullets.)

Just so you guys know, I have no idea when I'm going to be able to be online again. It is very likely that the cabin which my grandparents have rented for our trip to the beach does not have an Internet connection, and unless I can have access to a LAN-connection, I'll probably be gone for a bit. Tsk. Inconvenient, but que sera sera, if you know what I mean. But luckily my grandpa is up to date in the computer world, so he has an awesome flat-rate-wireless-connection-cheers-for-grandpa-hurrah!

Alright, sorry that this entry looks so rushed; I'm leaving in an hour. I'll be back soon, you can count on it!

JUST KIDDING HAHA GOT YOU GUYS IT'S APRIL FOOLS DAY HAHAHAHAHAHA--

Oh man, who am I kidding? Happy April Fools day, everyone. Hope you've all managed to fool someone today. The girls in my class sure did. During PE, while the guys were swimming downstairs, we rushed into the boys' locker room and stole their shoes. Then we tied them up into a long line of shoes and hung them over the soccer field. Then we waited. Even though all their shoes had gone missing, they were all downstairs and looking for their shoes on the floor. (The teachers were spying for us. They has a lot of fun with this prank, too, and I'm so grateful that they actually allowed us to go through with this.)
Finally the guys suspected that we were behind it and rushed upstairs. They were greeted with a flock of grinning girls. Watching their reactions was priceless. Most of them reacted like we thought, and we were laughing like morons when they couldn't untie the line of shoes.

Soooooooo... What did you guys do today?

Okay, new topic. I got these really dorky-lookin' braces a few weeks ago. They are the nice kind, though; the ceramic braces. I like them. The disadvantage? They tend to brake a lot easier. Mine broke 3 times already! *proud smirk* N-not my fault though. We even have evidence, but I won't bore you with the details.
My dentist's name is Dr. Rad. ISN'T THAT THE COOLEST NAME EVER!? Hurr hurr, "Rad Orthodontics." I love it. "... For RAD smiles!" I'm shutting up now.

Oh, and I'm working on an art-trade with Chandraraj. Here's the piccie she's drawn for me: chandraraj.deviantart.com/art/…! I love it so. :D
The piece I'm doing for her is going to take longer than I thought. Our teachers are trying to get some of the last exams out of the way before our Easter-break, so I've been kinda busy. *sigh* Twomoredaysjusttwomoredaystillfreeeeeedom!

Oh, and has anyone ever heard of the "Conficker" virus? (To everyone who thinks that name is vulgar -or anyone who speaks German-... I kid you not. That's seriously how the virus is called.) W-well, if you don't know what it is, I suggest you Google it.
To those of you who know what it is, please tell me I'm not the only one freaking out. Apparently the virus was supposed to show its true colours yesterday... But so far there are no signs of what may have happened. Anyway, it freaks me out.

I'm raaambling again. See you guys!
-Ploppers

P.S.: PW fans... Have you guys seen that court-records.net is being turned into a real court-records site!? T-this is so weird. What is wrong with the internet? Things are going wrong everywhere I go. *coughyoutubecough*
S-seriously.

(First of all, happy Valentine's Day!)

I AM HAPPY OH SO HAPPY YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE HOW HAPPY I AM YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I AM SO HAPPY WELL I AM GOING TO TELL YOU WHY I AM SO HAPPY.

We saw Avenue Q today. I mean, sure, I knew it was going to be awesome, but I didn't know just how MIND-BLOWINGLY AWESOME it would actually be! I mean... The puppets, and the actors, and the set, and the dirty humour and-- Wow. The syncronization between the puppets and the actors was amazing. It was emotional and fantastic and hilarious and oh no I'm rambling again.

I bought myself a commemorative mug and a souvenir book. Okay, I'm shutting up now.

We're going to Florida tomorrow. This is going to be my first real vacation in the United States. I'm sort of excited. Sort of nervous. Simply because I'm always nervous when I go on trips. Anyway, I won't be online as much, just to give you guys a warning. (What? Warning?)

I feel so empty. I was looking forward to the musical for 7 months. I kid you not, I started stalking Avenue Q sometime around August. D:
OH WELL, I guess I'll just have to wait for Professor Layton: Pandora's Box. And, naturally, Gyakuten Kenji.  *sigh* I just hope I'm not going to give up on my PW addiction by the time the English game is released.

Alright guys, see you!
